WELCOME
 Puchi's lifelong relationship
with art, began as a child in her parents studio. Her father was a
sculptor and her mother was a painter. She has taught sculpture and
painting for 24 years in entities such as the Ottawa School of Art in
Canada, The Art Museum in Lima Peru, and The Ceramic League of Miami as
well as the Art Institute of Miami and private instruction.
Her work is in many corporate and private
collections. In addition, her 10 years of experience as a prosthetic
artist and her life’s work as a visual artist give Puchi tremendous assets
in this field.
STATEMENT
My mother always told me we were in this world for a
reason. And while being a teacher and an artist was very fulfilling, I
still felt that something was missing. One day one of my painting students
(a doctor) called me in to make a prosthesis for a patient. At first I
didn’t know I could do it, but when I was done I saw the change in the
man, who went from missing an ear to being a whole person, I felt
overwhelmed... I got in my car and cried like a baby. I called my
husband and told him, "This is why I am a sculptor. This is what I want to
do for the rest of my life." I continued working with the doctor for
eight years. It gave me tremendous experience and I am grateful that I
worked with him.
I am not a Doctor, I am a
professional
artist and my work does not
replace the missing anatomy in a permanent way, It is purely cosmetic, but
it allows the individual to live a normal life. I use the latest silicones
that produce a life like appearance and I will work as conscientiously as
if it were for my own family.
