My mother always told me we were in this world for a reason. And while being a teacher and an artist was very fulfilling, I still felt that something was missing. One day one of my painting students (a doctor) called me in to make a prosthesis for a patient. At first I didn’t know I could do it, but when I was done I saw the change in the man, who went from missing an ear to being a whole person, I felt overwhelmed... I got in my car and cried like a baby. I called my husband and told him, "This is why I am a sculptor. This is what I want to do for the rest of my life."  I continued working with the doctor for eight years. It gave me tremendous experience and I am grateful that I worked with him.

I am not a Doctor, I am a professional artist and my work does not replace the missing anatomy in a permanent way, It is purely cosmetic, but it allows the individual to live a normal life. I use the latest silicones that produce a life like appearance and I will work as conscientiously as if it were for my own family.
